A major milestone for October has been the finalisation of a Proposed Indicator Suite Discussion Paper. The paper brings together extensive engagement with the public, industry, and government, through:

The paper contains the full suite of proposed indicators. It sets out the indicators in terms of what is to be kept, retired, or adapted, and presents the new indicators that are being proposed in response to identified gaps.

Next Steps summary

  1. Circulation of the discussion paper to registered users, and publication on the website 29 October 2021.
  2. Industry Briefing, online at 1.30 pm (AEDT) 3 November 2021. Invitations to be circulated via the registered users list and website noticeboard.
  3. Consideration of the indicators by industry and other stakeholders, with comments due by 30 November 2021.
  4. The draft indicator set will be reviewed in the context of these comments, and the final suite and handbook will be published for one last round of public comment, which will be open until the end-January 2022, with the final handbook being scheduled for publication, by the end of February 2022
